Timothy Paul Counts, 53, of Leesburg, VA, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011. Tim was born on April 9, 1958, in Abingdon, VA to Max and Helen Counts, now of Bristol, TN. Tim is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan, children Kirsten, Eric, and Kathryn, faithful companion Duke and grand doggy Lola. He also leaves behind his parents, brother Steve, of Bristol, TN and sister Jane, of Lebanon, TN. He was preceded in death by his brother Dave and grandparents Martin and Annie Counts, and Claude and Ruth Yates. Tim was a loving husband, devoted father and a true friend. Tim is deeply missed.

He was a 1976 graduate of Bristol Tennessee High School. He received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from East Tennessee State University. He was an outstanding basketball player at BTHS and ETSU.

Tim was the Regional Sales Director, North East U.S and Europe, for Advanced Solutions International, IMIS, software for non-profits.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with services at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 20th at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA. A reception will immediately follow at the family's home. An additional service will take place in Bristol, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22nd at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. The committal service and interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery at 12 noon.

Tim's daughter Kirsten will be participating in the Heartwalk on October 29th in Tim's memory.
