Kum Sum Yun was born in Seoul, Korea on October 7, 1947. She became Tina Yun Barnes when she married the love her life Abram Barnes, Jr. Tina was a proud, devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Tina led a full, happy, and active life. Tina  loved to spend time with her family. Some of her favorite family memories were made while cooking dinner and traveling with Abram during his service in the Army.

She was a faithful employee of United Airlines and AirServ for many years and enjoyed a second career as owner of Barnes and Barnes Janitorial until her passing.

Tina leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband of 49 years Abram; loving daughter Renee Barnes of Leesburg, VA; Daughter In-Law Angela Barnes of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren Nate Barnes of Seattle, WA, Aaliyah Barnes of Seattle, WA, Syenna Barnes of Leesburg, VA and Symone Carey of Leesburg, VA; sister and sister in law in Seoul, Korea, brother-in-laws, and a sister in law in Texas, as well as many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Tina was preceded in death by Won Mun Yun(Father), and Po Ok Ha(Mother), and Gertrude Irene Gallion(Mother in Law) and Abram Barnes, Sr.(Father in Law),  Nathaniel Eugene Barnes(son), Pamela Barnes and Coral Diane Barnes(sister in laws), and nephew Jamar Johnson.

Tina will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved her.

The family wishes to thank the Medical team team at Kaiser, Virginia Hospital Center and staff at Capital Caring Adler Center, and Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA; and Tina's many, many friends who stayed in touch during her illness.

A Service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE, Leesburg, VA  20176.  She will be laid to rest at a later time at Arlington National Cemetery.
