Our son, Tristan Beckett Schulz, was born 8 days early on March 17, 2016 and was an angel graciously blessed to this earth for his far too brief 5 months of life. On August 31, 2016, heaven called him back.
Tristan was the purest soul of beautiful joy and love. His laughter was a song relished daily in our home, and to all who knew him. His smile every morning made every day bright. His sweet face was always alight with laughter or wonder. He loved beauty and light and would stare peacefully at the sunshine streaming through the windows in the morning. He was just learning his voice, and boisterously had much to say about everything! He loved to bounce and was so proud of himself as his legs grew stronger to stand. He was happy, and sweet, and cuddly, and tender, and oh SO VERY LOVED!
He reserved his biggest laughs for his dad, especially at pre-bath playtime. His biggest smiles were only for his big brother. And his warmest cuddles, coos and sweet smiles were reserved for his mamma whose arms are empty now without her baby boy.
His special friend was his big brother, Hayden, who he demanded (in his own insistent way) to be with constantly. Hayden was the best big brother of the finest sort - always protective, always helpful, always eager to teach and entertain. His heart is broken as he desperately misses the little brother he asked for for 5 years.
Tristan was the absolute joy in our hearts. His laughter was the music in our home. His smiles made every day better. To write an adequate obituary on a life far too short seems impossible. So we focus on the light, and love, and laughter this perfect little soul brought to our lives and hearts, and will never be forgotten.
This angel has brought together so many beautiful souls to surround us all, and each other, in love. Please never forget the impact that Tristan had on your heart. Be compassionate. Take the time to be still. Be present. BE LOVE… not only for Tristan, but for each other.
Tristan Beckett Schulz is survived by his mother, Mindy R. Schulz, his father, Rodney J. Schulz, Jr., and his older brother Hayden. He is also survived by his grandmother, Billie Shutts, and his grandparents Rod and Diana Schulz, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who adored him.
A funeral service will be held on September 9, 2016 at 10:00am at Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church, Leesburg, VA.
When a child dies, a parent is still tied to
that child. Souls, tied together across
universes. It doesn't matter the age when
they passed. It doesn't matter how long ago
it happened. It doesn't matter — none of it.
Their souls are forever tied.
That's the love of a parent. That's the love
that is more powerful than death. That's
the heart that breaks and keeps breaking
until their arms are filled again. It knows
no discrimination based off of age, health,
or time, it just is, and it always will be.
Their souls are forever tied, and there's
nothing that can break them
That's the beauty of unconditional love.
