Tyler Kennedy Lawrence, beloved son of Tim & Anita Lawrence and best brother ever to his sister Tessa went to be with the Lord on Friday November 13, 2015 at the age of 25.
Tyler was known as a gentle sprit that expressed love and compassion to anyone he encountered. His laughter and wit were contagious and his smile radiated a room. He always wanted a "hug" and never ended a conversation without saying I love you.
Tyler was engaged in several sports: football, skiing, dirt bikes, fishing, hunting and recently competed in the Tough Mudder competition. While obtaining his 4th degree black belt, the family moved to Lynchburg so he could attend Liberty Christian Academy. While here he played football and, along with his team, won the state championship. Tyler then went on to study Aviation and Criminal Justice at Liberty University. He also became a Life Guard at Claude Moore. Tyler enjoyed working at Firebird's Restaurant and was significantly sought out by customers for his excellent service. Co-workers considered him the most uplifting and encouraging person to be around. Tyler enjoyed working on his Grandparents farm hanging out with Grand Paw and Nan whether it was farm work, working on classic cars or just being there.
As a hunter, Tyler was also an excellent marksman. He was an avid reader, especially books on military and could spill facts that were astounding. He especially loved all aspects of the military, including meeting his hero, Mark Luttrell. Tyler was undergoing training and preparing to join the Marines in January to serve his country.
He is loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed by so many including his wonderful group of friends whose families considered him a second son and brother of their own.
Tyler will be greatly missed. His family thanks everyone in advance for coming out to honor him and support them at this most difficult time. Due to his love of country, those who would like can make contributions in his memory to:

Tyler is survived by his parents Anita and Tim Lawrence, sister Tessa Lawrence, grandparents Aleta and Jim Kennedy, Ben Lawrence, uncles Dan Lawrence, Mike Lawrence, Ted Lawrence, Terry Stewart, and Robert Brown, aunts Robin Stewart and Jamie Brown, and cousins Justin and Britton Stewart.
