Valerie Anne LaLonde passed away on February 15, 2017.  She was born to Louis and June LaLonde in 1954 and grew up in Michigan.  Valerie later moved to Minnesota where she married and worked as a nurse and then as a day care provider.  In 1997, Valerie remarried and lived in Virginia where she took care of her family until she passed away.

Valerie loved her family and enjoyed traveling and cooking.  She had a firm belief in God.  She was always willing to help anyone and she cared a great deal about those around her and those she met online.  Valerie had a heart of gold.  From her family in Michigan to those she took care of in her day care in Minnesota, her adoptive children, her many acquaintances everywhere she lived and the many others she knew through her life, her passing is deeply mourned.  Her memory will live on.  She will be missed.

Valerie is survived by her husband Gary, her sons Jason and Brent and her daughters Sabrina and Amanda.

A memorial service will be held in Michigan on April 15, 2017 starting at 10:00 at the New Jerusalem Church on West Ridge Road in Essexville.
