Valter K. Lazeri passed away peacefully August 17th at 3:55am with his beloved wife, daughters,brothers and entire immediate family by his side.

Valter Lazeri was born July 8th 1956 in Saranda, Albania. He was the son of Kozam S Lazeri and Katherine lazeri. He graduated from Hasan Tahsini in 1977. His passion was theater and poetry. In 1994 he moved to Virginia where he settled down with his wife and children. He worked as a goldsmith for almost 20 years. Over the years he became very well known with many recognitions in the Albanian-American Writers Society winning the Golden Pen Award. Valter was survived by his mother Katherine,wife Kaliopi, daughters Katrina and Dajana, brothers Vladimir and Sokrates, and sister Violet, Son In Law Daniel and grandson Jaden.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., Leesburg, VA 20176 with a service starting at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Sterling Cemetery.
