Vincent Lloyd Wheeler Jr. affectionately known as "Geezy and Uncle Wee Wee" born October 20, 1969 to Vincent Lloyd Wheeler Sr. and the late Joan Hunter departed this life on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.
Vincent was educated in the Washington, DC Public School system and was employed by Iron Workers Union 5 until his health prevented him from continuing to work. He then became a self-employed barber at Cutt N Up. He loved sports, and was passionate about music! Vincent joined Greater Zion Baptist Church and became the drummer for the choir. He also played percussions for Holy and Whole Life Changing Ministries International and Loudoun Bible Church in Ashburn, VA. Vincent later joined Action Chapel VA in Alexandria, VA under the leadership of Bishop, Kibby Otoo and Senior Pastor, Seth Barns.
Vincent met Carolyn July 1993 and was married July 24, 1999. Vincent moved from Washington, DC to Virginia with his wife where he resided for the last 20 years.
Vincent was preceded in death by his mother Joan Hunter and sister Yolanda Hunter. He leaves to cherish his fond memories his wife, Carolyn Wheeler, Leesburg, VA; daughter, Ikeya January, Washington, DC; sisters, Valinda Featherstone, District Heights, MD; Nichelle Young, and Tarsha Arouna, Washington, DC; one brother, Robert Hunter, Washington, DC; Grandmother, Katherine Hunter, Washington, DC; mother-in-law, Mildred Robinson, Ashburn, VA; father-in-law, Albert Brim, Leesburg, VA; five brothers-in-law, Guy Featherstone, District Heights, MD, Ahamed Arouna-Mama, Washington, DC; Victor Ceasar, Fredrick, MD; Lyndon Pierre, Ashburn, VA; Jack Robinson Jr., Charles Town, WV; four sisters-in-law, Cynthia Robinson, Sterling, VA; Antoinette Robinson, Martinsburg, WV; Albie Pierre, Ashburn, VA; Dana Ceasar, Frederick, MD; three aunts, Ruth Wheeler, Washington, DC; Mary Glenn, Ashburn, VA; Roberta Glenn, Kernysville, WV; two uncles, Charles Dorsey and Jeff Wheeler, Washington, DC; a very special nephew, Gary Mayo, District Heights, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Vincent also had a very special love for his great nephews, Jeremiah Robinson, Elijah and Dakari Brooks, Daylon and Devahn Hogan, who he took under his wings to help guide them in the right direction.
Vincent will truly be missed and remembered by all who had the good fortune to know him.
Family will receive friends on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Crossroads UMC, 43454 Crossroads Drive, Ashburn, VA 20147 where a service will begin at 1:30 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Tippits Hill Cemetery, Sterling, VA.
