Viola Virginia Virts(nee Kidwell) went to be with her Lord on March 18, 2011. She was 82. She passed away at home under the care of Hospice. She was born on July 31, 1928 to Richard and Nellie Kidwell (nee) Springer in Harpers Ferry, WV. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Chester W. Virts, Sr., three children; Shirley M. Rugemer, Chester W. Virts, Jr., and Richard Virts, as well as two brothers, James and Charles Kidwell and one sister, Emma Jean Kidwell. She is survived by one son, Donald E. Virts and his wife Lora, of Bluemont, VA., and four daughters, Rita A. Mellott of Romney, WV., Mary L. Johnson of Leesburg, VA., Sarah A. Smith of Harpers Ferry, WV., and Nancy J. James and her husband Jonathan of Winchester, VA. She is also survived by one brother, Alfred Kidwell and his wife Barbara of Boliver, WV. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed greatly by all. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA., on Monday, March 21, 2011. Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home with interment at Mount Olivet United Methodist Cemetery located in Lovettsville, VA.
