Virginia Ann Tilghman Button, age 91, passed peacefully at her home on Wednesday July 8, 2020, surrounded by her daughters, Deborah Ann Button O'Donnell Virgilio, Pamela Owens Button, and Melissa Totten Longosz. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, son Jeb, and sister Bonnie.  Ann is survived by her three daughters, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Ann was born in Snow Hill, MD on July 12, 1928 to Virginia Owens Yaeger and Eldridge Tilghman.  A graduate from St. Mary's Seminary College in Maryland, Ann loved the outdoors and especially the beach in Ocean City, MD.  As a beautiful young woman with poise and grace, Ann enjoyed a brief modeling career in New York where she met and married her husband Jack Button in 1950.  Together, Ann and Jack spent 68 active and eventful years living in Leesburg Virginia, Saddle River, NJ, Lake Placid, NY, and Key Biscayne, FL.  They traveled the world, and in later years traveled the country on a quest to visit every National Park in their motor home called "Natural High".

Ann actively supported numerous charitable organizations and was involved in fundraising for civic causes.  She treasured her lifelong friends and held them close with cards, letters and calls.  Ann was always a fun person, enjoying life to the fullest!  Ann loved God and was resolute on saying her prayers every night asking God to bless everyone she knew!

A brief funeral service will be held on Sunday July 12, 2020 at 2:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE, Leesburg, VA  20176.  Due to Covid19 restrictions, all attendees are asked to wear masks.

Her family is thankful she is peacefully at rest with Jesus.  We love you Ann and you will be sorely missed!  "See you later Ann!"
