Roberta Davis Huey of Ashburn, VA, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon September 14th, 2015. Just shy of her 92nd birthday she was born on September 18, 1923 in Mobjack, Virginia to Maurice A Davis and Alice Healy Davis and grew up on Myrtle Grove Farm.

She is cherished by her husband of 61 years, Harvey Lee Huey; her daughter Susan Bever and husband Bob; her son Robert Huey and wife Susie. She is also greatly loved by her grandchildren: Sarah Bever, Emily NIchols (Nate), Daniel Bever, Wilson Bever (Bree) and her great grandson Ezra Wesley Harvey Nichols. She is also survived by her brother R. Turner Davis, sister in law Barbara Davis, sister in law Joice Davis and her many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

She graduated from Longwood College, worked in Richmond, taught at Mathews High School and raised her family in Bethesda, Maryland. Roberta had a lifelong love of Mathews and the beauty of the tidewater and the community she knew so well. She considered her greatest accomplishment and legacy to be the love she had for her family.

A celebration of her life will be held Monday September 21st at 11 am at the Great Oak Clubhouse at Ashby Ponds, 44755 Audobon Square, Ashburn, VA 20147. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Providence Cemetery in Bohannon, Virginia.
