Obituary

Mr Vivient Tomayum, was born on 06/23/1970 in Bandjoun, Cameroon and passed away in Leesburg Virginia on 02/22/2019, at the age of 48 years. He was born into the Tuekam Didier Family and was one of many Children. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Rose-Marie (nee Nsahlai), two sons, Noah and Joaquin, and numerous siblings.

Vivient's life touched so many people, because he was remarkable in ways that words can never fully express. He was incredibly generous and those close to him know that he gave selflessly without expecting anything in return. He was the quintessential partner. He loved his wife unconditionally and went to great lengths to show her, how much he cared. To him "She was perfect, flaws and all".  A doting Dad to his two sons, you would often find him helping them with their homework, playing soccer, talking about sports, play dancing or just goofing around. At all times, he was there to nurture them, love them, support them and create a safe haven where all their needs were met. His family and friends also remember him as someone you could depend on, that shoulder to lean on. He was that person you could trust with your deepest secrets, that friend and brother who gave you counsel with your best interest in mind. His sense of responsibility and love for family was nothing short of extraordinary. Vivient always found the time to care, to listen without casting judgment, to support without reservations. He knew how to disagree with you without being disagreeable. One of the greatest gifts he gave to those who knew him was the gift of acceptance. When you spent time with Vivient, he accepted you as you were and not as you aspired to be or as he would have wanted you to be. His easy demeanor and gentle manner automatically put you at ease.

Vivient's was a man of few words. Thoughtful and wise but bold in his actions. An engineer by training, who eventually ventured into business and was pretty successful at it. A pragmatic man with a lot of common sense, and the kind of integrity that is hard to find nowadays. He loved his work, he loved the arts and he had a Reverence for God. In his quiet time, you would find him listening to songs of worship by Hillsong. His trust in God and and his resilient spirit allowed him to weather any storm with grace. Deep down he knew it shall always be well with him. He was grateful for what life had given him; his work, his family, his friends. He lived his life with purpose, ambition and gratitude. He had the unwavering faith that tomorrow will always be better than yesterday. Gone too soon, but he will never be forgotten, because he touched so many lives in ways that will always be remembered. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace with Jesus Christ your savior Vivient! Until we meet again.

A service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Cornerstone Chapel, Leesburg, VA at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
