IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William J.
Ball
April 22, 1998 – April 4, 2021
William J. Ball passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was 22 years old.
William was well-known in the community both for his skills as a wrestler and his love of nature. William spent time with his friends hiking and camping and volunteering as a camp counselor at Cornerstone Chapel and with the YMCA at Camp Ockanickon in New Jersey each summer. He made friends with people of all ages.
William's positive attitude and warm personality helped make him as popular at school as he was in his fraternity. William attended Radford University where he studied Communications.
William is survived by his father, William, stepmother, Lauralee, mother, Lynn, and older sister, Delanie. A funeral will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, Virginia on Edwards Ferry Road. We ask that donations be made in lieu of flowers to CityKids Wilderness Project ( https://citykidsdc.org ) , a non-profit organization founded on the belief that providing enriching life experiences for DC children can enhance their lives, the lives of their families and the greater community.
We realize that Will had a lot of friends and family and many of you wish to attend the service. However, due to COVID and Virginia state law, we are only authorized 50 seats inside the funeral home. Those seats are reserved for family. We strongly encourage people to attend the service online.
