William was born on December 16, 2002, in Lompoc California, the son of Caroline and Stephen McCrory. He passed away at home the morning of January 23, 2018.

William was a wonderful soul, full of light, who deeply touched any and everyone he met. No one was immune from his love and kindness; not even animals. From sitting with a stranger on the bus whose friend was not there to helping a turtle off a hiking trail, he just wanted to do good in his life.

William loved the outdoors, animals, art, and learning. He was a 1st generation Boy Scout on the trail to Eagle with plans on owning a farm where he would eventually take care of his parents as they aged.

Most importantly, William was allowed to be who he wanted to be. Whether it was dancing in the living room with his mom or practicing to be a tattoo artist, his mom simply said "William had flair". Most recently, William was researching religions to find where he best fit.

William is survived by his parents, Caroline and Stephen McCrory; his sister and brother, Katie and Marc Tinker; sister-in-law, Hannah Tinker; maternal grandparents, Socorro Perez and Charles Rodriquez; paternal grandmother, June McCrory; along with dozens of aunts, uncles, and cousins from California and Louisiana; and countless friends, acquaintances, and strangers he touched along his journey.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a funeral to be held at 5:00pm at Christian Fellowship Church in Ashburn, Virginia. Its mission is to prevent youth suicide through awareness, educational programs and activities that empower youth to help themself and each other by spreading hope, help and strength.
