Obituary

Mr. William Wesley Wassam of Ashburn Virginia went home to our Heavenly Father on November 2, 2011 after his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, on September 3, 1939, to the late Eugene Ford Wassam and Mildred Hatgan Wassam.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Tinsman Wassam; three children, Pam Wassam of Laurel, MD, Sandy Eaton of Sarasota, FL, Daniel Wassam and his wife Michelle of Winchester VA; grandchildren, Ashley Speakman and her husband Chad, Raymond Butterfield, Reese Wassam, Cierra Eaton and great-granddaughter Emma Grace Speakman.

Wes served four years in the United States Air Force in Radar Maintenance, worked for the Naval Research Laboratory for 47 years, and retired in September 2010 at the age of 71.

A time of celebration for family and friends has been set for December 3, 2011, at Sterling United Methodist Church, 304 E Church Rd, Sterling, VA 20164 (time to be announced later).
