Our beloved Angela Monique Conner, affectionately known as "Susan," passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Angela was born on November 8, 1979, in Queens, New York, to the late Robert Avent and Brenda Conner. She grew up in Reston, Virginia, where she attended school. Over the years, Angela held numerous jobs.

Angela, while pursuing her relationship with Christ, attended Christ the Servant Lutheran in Reston, VA. She also visited Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon, VA, where she was so moved by the service that she expressed a desire to join the congregation to her good friend Allison Wallace. Angela had a special gift for loving children and delighted in playing dress-up with them and styling their hair.

Angela's love for people, especially her children and grandchildren, was unwavering. Despite many challenges, she constantly sought opportunities to be part of her children's lives, always expressing her love.

Known for her nurturing nature, she brought joy to many with her funny videos, wig performances, and skits on Facebook Live and TikTok, including her dances and Michael Jackson impersonations. Angela often used dancing as a form of therapy. She was also highly skilled with computers and known for her problem-solving abilities. Angela was affectionately known as "The funny one," always making people laugh with her humor and catchy slogans like "y'all minding my business, whatever! whatever!"

Angela will be deeply missed, but we find solace knowing she is now at peace. Her labor of love, humor, and fun has earned its "Crown."

Angela was preceded in death by her father, Robert Avent; her mother, Brenda Conner; and her niece, Leah Anne Conner. She is survived by her brother, Robert Leroy Conner; her three sons, Marcus, Damon, and Malek; her two daughters, Danesha and Janelle; and her grandchildren, Elani, Adrain and Dylan. She is also cherished by her uncles, Robert Lee Conner and Rudy Conner; her aunt, Diane Forbes (Charles), who played a major role in her upbringing; her nephew, Delante; her niece, Janae; three great-nieces; a great-nephew on the way; many cousins, including her sister-cousin and BFF Lisa; and a host of friends.

Angela Monique Conner will be forever cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Angela's life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE., Leesburg, VA  20176.
