IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stanley "Stas'"
Sadowski
April 23, 1935 – October 1, 2019
Stanley " Stas'" Sadowski Jr., 84, of Leesburg VA, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2019. He was born April 23, 1935 in Passaic, NJ. Stas', was the oldest of four children, Joey Sadowski, Marilyn Benanti and Carol Heberling, born to their father Stanley Sadowski and their mother Mary Krehely; both preceding him in death.
His early years were difficult as he was support for his mother and siblings having to work part-time jobs all through high school. His mother always told him to "do good" so after high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1953, "to go face the world and make something of himself." The Air Force was just that opportunity. He was stationed in Europe and was introduced to linguistics. Learning and speaking four foreign languages became a lifelong hobby and passion for him. After the service, Stas' went into the business world of competitive analysis and worked for several corporations, such as Sperry Univac, Xerox and HFSI. In early retirement he worked at Reston Hospital as a registration clerk. There he registered and assisted patients facing various health procedures. He was dedicated in all that he did, by always going above and beyond what was expected from him, both personally and professionally.
Stas' has said the secret to true happiness is trusting in The Lord, "..whoso trusts in the Lord, happy is he." Proverbs 16:20. Stas' was a devoted husband for 41 years to Patricia Sadowski who preceded him in death from cancer. He is survived by his daughter Margot and her husband Mark Fisher, son Paul Sadowski, daughter Tania and her husband Tim Woods, Step-son Scott and his wife Candice Stephenson with five grandchildren, Skylar and Austin Stephenson, Timothy, Tanner and Trevor Woods.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
